What got you into the Franchise Industry?

I actually fell into franchising, taking a summer job (I was going back to university for post-grad work), and answering the phones for a renovations franchise. Ten years later, I left the company as the GM and minority owner.

I was incredibly fortunate to be given that opportunity by the original owner. He was (and remains) an absolute champion.

Best Advice for Franchising

As with many franchisees, I learned many lessons the hard way! That being said, some of the best ones include:

1) Be open to learning from others and you will go much farther than on your own.

2) Hire people who are smarter than you.

How Brecon Found AC Inc

Brecon has worked his entire career in the health care and home renovations industries as a franchise owner, manager, and consultant. He became a franchisee in 2013 and proceeded to learn all about the essentials of franchising – what works, and what doesn’t work.

After years in the Comfort Keepers Franchise, Brecon was looking for a new opportunity that would be a great fit for his skillset. He knew he wanted to find the perfect team and a brand that would be a great fit. Brecon and Angela Cote have a mutual friend who connected them and the rest is history!

Brecon has won numerous awards including the BBB Torch Award for Business Ethics, Business Examiner Health Care Business of the Year (2018), Best Sales in Western Canada for the Comfort Keepers Franchise Network (2017-2021), Comfort Keepers Franchise of the year (2021).
